About The Event
Beach-2-Beach: ‘The Whakaraupo Chase’
15 & 16 March 2019
***POSTPONED DUE TO EVENTS IN CHRISTCHURCH TODAY 15/03/19***
"Te Waka Pounamu (The Chase) - This is a very difficult time for our community, in lieu of what has happened across our beloved city and the tragedy that will affect so many The Leadership Team have decided to postpone our event until further notice.
While many of us would like to say " we will not allow you to intimidate us" we need to pay due respect to those who have died and been injured in today's attack.
We have been through a harrowing time over the years since 2011, but for those who sought sanctuary in their place of worship, their lives and ours will never be the same.
Thank you to all those who have prepared for our event.
Please pray for strength, courage and peace in our beautiful city.
We have discussed a Paddle for Peace event, I have spoken to Pete Low (Waitaha) who are considering a paddle tribute on Sunday, we would like to support a combined Club paddle for all of those interested. (details to follow)
With much aroha
Alex Beaton and the Leadership Team "
