The Takapuna Beach Cup is New Zealand’s Premier 3-Day Outrigger (Waka Ama) Paddle Festival, which attracts teams from throughout New Zealand and the International outrigger circuit.
The event is split over three days with Saturday hosting the epic 35 and 42km Marathon paddles.
Sunday has junior teams competing and single canoe relays.
The event is now recognised as New Zealand’s premier long-distance outrigger race and we had in excess of 1000 competitors visiting our shores to compete in the event.
